Sara Cuylen-Haering is a Group Leader in the Cell Biology and Biophysics Unit of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg. She studied biotechnology at the University of Muenster and completed her PhD degree at EMBL Heidelberg in 2011. After her postdoctoral training at the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology (IMBA) in Vienna, she moved back to EMBL Heidelberg in 2017, where her group investigates the roles of surfactants and the process of phase separation in the organization of the human genome.
