Stephen Matheson is Editor-in-Chief of Cell Reports. He earned his PhD in neuroscience at the University of Arizona, studying mechanisms of neuronal development in the context of metamorphosis. He was a postodoctoral fellow at the MGH Cancer Center, working on roles of Rho GTPases in brain development. After ten years of teaching and research at Calvin College and the Van Andel Institute, he joined Cell Reports in 2012. He lives for neuroscience, development, evolution, genetics/genomics, systems biology, bicycles, and Shakespeare.
