Wendel Wohlleben is Senior Principal Scientist at BASF Corporate Research in the Dept. of Analytical and Material Science, and has a second affiliation to the Dept. of Experimental Toxicology and Ecology. His research covers both the development of advanced materials and the assessment of safe and sustainable uses, including considerations on microplastics and other contaminants. Wendel studied physics in Heidelberg, Paris and Munich, worked as postdoc in Physical Chemistry in Marburg, and was visiting scientist at the Weizmann Institute and at the Harvard School of Public Health.
