Antonia De Maio received her Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from the Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas. As a graduate student in the laboratory of Dr. Huda Zoghbi, she studied RNA biology in the context of hereditary human diseases using mouse genetics. She went on to work as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Gary Ruvkun at Harvard Medical School, where she focused on RNA modifications and small RNAs biology in C. elegans. Antonia joined the editorial team of Cell Reports in 2021.
