Editor in attendance

Yongmei joined Cell Press in 2021 as an editor at iScience where she grew to have broad interest in interdisciplinary studies across life and medical sciences. She has a passion for helping scientists publish their novel and solid findings in a timely and fair way while also promoting scientists’ findings to the public. In 2024, Yongmei joined the Cell Metabolism team and the cross-journal team where she now divides her time. Yongmei received her PhD from the Vrije Universität Amsterdam, where she studied the vulnerability and resilience of drug addiction. She went on to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship at Neher Neural Plasticity Lab in Shenzhen, China, studying the social influence on drug addiction, where she became an assistant professor before her move to Cell Press.
