- Yu Fu, A*STAR, Singapore
Dr. Fu is currently a director of Brain-Body Initiative program of A*STAR and a Senior Principal Investigator at Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore. He also holds adjunct appointments at National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. He has been awarded A*STAR Fellow, National Research Foundation Investigator, EMBO Global Investigator and A*STAR Investigator. Before setting up his lab in Singapore, Dr. Fu received PhD training in neuroscience at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and postdoctoral training in systems neuroscience at UCSF. Dr. Fu’s lab discovered the physiological role of tuberal nucleus and advanced our understanding of the central neural circuits of feeding regulation. Dr. Fu has served on the boards of professional societies, including scientific journals and disease organisations.
