Dr. Shruti Naik is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at New York University School of Medicine. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania-National Institutes of Health Graduate Partnership Program, and then pursued her postdoctoral studies as a Damon Runyon Cancer Research Fellow at the Rockefeller University. The Naik lab studies the dynamic interactions between immune cells and epithelial stem cells focusing on three 3 major areas of research: Tissue repair and cancer, host-microbe interactions, and early in life immunity. For her research and advocacy, she has been recognized by the L’Oréal For Women in Science Award, the Damon Runyon Cancer Foundation Dale F. Frey Award for Breakthrough Scientist, the Blavatnik Award for Young Scientists, the International Takeda Innovators in Science Award, Pew Stewart Scholar, NIH Director’s New Innovator Award DP2 and Packard Foundation Fellowship
