Dr. Anna Molofsky is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF). The Molofsky lab investigates the mechanisms of synapse formation during brain development and learning, with a focus on immune cells and signals that regulate synapse homeostasis. Dr. Molofsky completed graduate training in stem cell biology with Dr. Sean Morrison and postdoctoral studies in neurodevelopment with Dr. David Rowitch. Dr. Molofsky is also a practicing psychiatrist. She is the recipient of awards from the Burroughs Welcome Fund, the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, the Pew Charitable Trusts, and the NIH New Innovator Program.
