Dr. Ying Liu is a Professor and Associate Dean of the College of Future Technology at Peking University. She is also an Investigator at both the PKU-THU Center for Life Sciences (CLS) and the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Genomics (ICG). She holds the title of New Cornerstone Investigator. Dr. Liu earned her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and underwent postdoctoral research training at Massachusetts General Hospital. In December 2013, she established her lab at Peking University. Her lab has focused on unraveling the mechanisms behind cellular stress responses and homeostatic regulation, particularly exploring the molecular mechanisms that modulate cellular and organismal responses to challenges like nutrient deprivation or mitochondrial stress.
