Allyson joined Cell Press in 2010 as an editor for Molecular Cell, where she handled a broad range of papers in basic biomedical research including metabolism, cell death, protein homeostasis, and signaling in cancer. At Cell Press, she has been a champion for transparency, rigor, and reproducibility. She became the Editor-in-Chief of Cell Metabolism in 2019. Allyson holds a doctorate from UNC-Chapel Hill, where she studied the intersection of metabolism and apoptosis, and conducted postdoctoral research in the aging field at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
