Dr. Chen Wu is the Deputy Director of Cancer Hospital, CAMS& PUMC. She obtained her M.D. and Ph.D. from Peking Union Medical College and China Medical University, and had postdoc training at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Her lab focuses on studying cancer genetics and genomics and research achievements include: leading one of the largest prospective cohort study of esophageal cancer in China for more than ten years to establish biobank and database dedicated for cancer genome evolution research; systematical identification of cancer susceptible and driver genes through genome-wide association study and multi-omics study; re-construction a body map of morphologically normal human organs to identify profound genomic alterations of healthy aging individuals.
Dr. Wu has published 140 research articles in high-profile journals including Nature, Nature Genetics, and Cancer Cell et al. She is also the recipient of the World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders (2020 class), the China Youth Science and Technology Award, the Chinese Young Women in Science Award and the Xplorer Prize.
