Dr. Qiang Gao is the Deputy Director & Professor at the Department of Liver Surgery and Transplantation, Liver Cancer Institute, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. His major research interest is tumor immunology and immunotherapy, especially in liver cancer. He has reported several new immune cell subsets within tumor microenvironment, such as the HLADR+CD74+ neutrophils and DUSP4+ atypical memory B cell; and discovered serial novel antitumor immunotherapeutic targets, such as IL1RN and FGFR2 fusion derived neoantigens. His work is published in Cell, Science, Cancer Cell, Cancer Discov, Nat Metab, J Clin Oncol, Ann Oncol and other high impact journals.
