Phil Greenberg is a Professor of Medicine/Oncology and Immunology at the University of Washington, Head of the Program in Immunology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and an Investigator of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. His research has focused on elucidating principles underlying the interactions between T cells and tumors and developing cellular and molecular approaches to manipulate T cell immunity to promote tumor eradication. He has received many awards and honors, including election to the American Society of Clinical Investigation, the Association of American Physicians, the American College of Physicians, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science; and selection as a Fellow of the American Association for Cancer Research Academy and as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Association of Immunology. He currently serves as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the American Association for Cancer Research and as an Editor-In-Chief of Cancer Immunology Research.
