Dr. Ye Tian is a Professor at the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After obtaining her bachelor's degree from Beijing Normal University in 2005, she completed her Ph.D. studies at the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing in 2010. She then conducted post-doctoral research at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and the University of California, Berkeley. In 2016, she established her own lab, which focuses on mitochondrial stress pathways and their role in aging. Her research has investigated the epigenetic regulation of mitochondrial stress-induced longevity, inter-tissue mitochondrial stress communication, and transgenerational mitochondrial stress inheritance. Her work has been published in leading journals such as Cell, Developmental Cell, Nature Cell Biology, and Science Advances. She has been honored with the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Young Scientist Award.
