Neil Dasgupta is an Associate Professor, Miller Faculty Scholar within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Deputy Director at the U.S. Department of Energy, Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC), “Mechano-Chemical Understanding of Solid Ion Conductors (MUSIC)”.
He completed a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005, a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University in 2006, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University in 2011 with Prof. Fritz Prinz. Prior to joining UM in 2014, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry at University of California, Berkeley with Prof. Peidong Yang.
