Ming Chen Hammond

Dr. Ming Chen Hammond is a a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Henry Eyring Center for Cell & Genome Science at the University of Utah. Her research group was one of the first to develop RNA-based fluorescent biosensors to study signaling and metabolism in living cells, and her research interests span the fields of chemical biology, synthetic biology, and microbiology. She received a B.S. in chemistry at Caltech, Ph.D. as an HHMI predoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley, and was a BWF CASI postdoctoral fellow at Yale University. She is a recipient of the NIH Director’s New Innovator Award.
