Tannishtha Reya is a Professor in the Departments of Pharmacology and Medicine, Director of the Division of Cancer Biology in the Department of Pharmacology, and Co-Director of the Cancer Biology Research Area in the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program at the University of California San Diego. Her work has provided insight into the signals that control stem cell growth, and how these signals are subverted to drive cancer progression and therapy resistance. Her awards include the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Scholar Award, an NIH Director’s Pioneer Award and an NCI Outstanding Investigator Award.
