Erwei Song is Professor of Breast Surgery at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,“Cheung Kong” Professor, CMB Distinguished Professor and Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (UK). He serves as Dean of Zhongshan School of Medicine and President of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, SYSU.

His lab studies the regulatory roles of tumor microenvironment in cancer progression, and investigates new strategies for immunotherapy against solid tumors. As the corresponding author, he has published 62 research articles, including Cell (3 papers), Cancer Cell (3 papers), Nature Immunology, Nature Cell Biology,etc. He is also winner of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Award and the prestigious National Natural Science Award in China.
