Eytan Ruppin, M.D., Ph.D. (Computer Science) has served as a professor of Computer Science & Medicine in Tel-Aviv University since 1995, conducting computational multi-disciplinary research spanning a wide variety of topics, including neuroscience, machine learning and systems biology. In 2018 he moved to the NCI, where he is chief of its cancer data science lab (CDSL). His current research is focused on developing new computational approaches for advancing synthetic lethality-based precision oncology and immunotherapy. He is a co-founder of a few startup companies involved in precision oncology and cancer drug discovery and a fellow of the International Society of Computational Biology (ISCB).
