Yan Zhu is a professor in Physical Chemistry at Nanjing University. Her research focuses on design and synthesis of atomically precise metal nanoclusters, and attainment of precise relationships between the structures and catalytic properties at the atomic level and even at the single-electron level. Such fundamental studies on these structurally precise nanoclusters can provide access to currently inaccessible mechanistic pathways of typical nanoparticles and open up new horizons in nanocatalysis.
