Oliver Pybus is Professor of Evolution & Infectious Disease at the University of Oxford, UK and a Professorial Fellow of New College, Oxford. He is a Principal Investigator of the Oxford Martin School for Emerging Infections and Chief Editor of the journal Virus Evolution. His research has been awarded the Scientific Medal of the Zoological Society of London and of the Daiwa Adrian Prize. He investigates the genetics and evolution of infectious diseases, particularly emerging RNA viruses, and develops new techniques for tracking and predicting virus transmission from genomic data.
