I am a Professor of Immunology and Biochemistry at the University of Washington, where my laboratory studies recombination and repair in human cells. I received my A.B. from the University of California at Berkeley, and my Ph.D. from Harvard University, where I was a Junior Fellow of the Society of Fellows. I was a faculty member in the Departments of Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry and Genetics at Yale from 1987-2000, when I moved to my current position in Seattle, my hometown.
